A simile I would use is “Studying abroad is like losing your virginity.” I would choose this because everyone thinks of this as an amazing time of their lives.

Big meanie
New least favourite Friday activity – sending out rejection letters to job applicants. It’s been the theme of my life for two Friday’s in a row and I feel like the most horrible person alive. I’m so not cut out to be this much of a Grinch. And the best part? Waiting for the post-rejection hate mail to come in.
